The Sapphire-II chemiluminescence enhancer significantly reduces aqueous quenching and tune the wavelength of light emission.

• Aqueous environments reduce chemiluminescent signal intensity of 1,2-dioxetane substrates by water-induced quenching; chemiluminescence enhancers increase the emission efficiency of light production by partitioning the water from the site of chemiluminescent signal production.
