Target Information
cGAS (Cyclic GMP-AMP synthase)는 ATP와 GTP로부터 cyclic GMP-AMP (cGAMP)를 형성하는 nucleotidyltransferase로, 선천면역 반응에서 핵심적인 역할을 수행합니다.
cGAS는 세포질 내 DNA를 직접 결합하여 cGAMP 합성을 유도하고, 이는 TMEM173/STING을 활성화시켜 type-I interferon 생산을 촉진합니다. 또한, 세균 감염 감지, 세포 스트레스 반응, DNA 손상 및 세포 노화 조절에도 관여합니다.
