Target Information
Profilin은 12–15 kDa 크기의 인산이노시티드 및 poly-L-proline 결합 단백질로, 신호전달 경로와 액틴 필라멘트 역학에 관여합니다. 두 가지 주요 포유류 프로필린이 존재하며, Profilin I은 대부분의 조직(골격근 제외)에서 높게 발현되고, Profilin II는 주로 뇌에서, 그리고 낮은 수준으로 골격근, 자궁, 신장 등에서 발현됩니다. Profilin은 주로 세포질 단백질로, 세포막의 선단부나 주름진 막 등 역동적인 막 부위에서 높은 농도로 존재합니다.
