Product Specific Information
The monoclonal antibody MIG-2F5.5 reacts with mouse monokine induced by IFN gamma (MIG, MIG-1, CXCL9). This 14.4 kDa inflammatory chemokine is specifically induced by IFN gamma, but not by LPS or IFN alpha. MIG secretion, mainly by macrophages, results in chemotaxis of activated T cells via the CXCR3 receptor. MIG is involved in autoimmune disease, cancer, and inflammation research.
Applications Reported:
This antibody is suitable for intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Tested by intracellular staining of IFN-γ stimulated thioglycolate-elicited peritoneal exudate cells and RAW 264.7 cells. Use ≤ 0.25 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Optimal titration recommended.

Target Information
MIG (CXCL9) is a T-cell chemoattractant induced by gamma interferon, belonging to the CXC chemokine family. Mapped to 4q21, it influences T-cell activation, angiogenesis, and HIV infection. Unlike most CXC chemokines that attract neutrophils, MIG and INP10 are chemotactic for lymphocytes and inactive in neutrophils.
