Target Information
MYOCD is a smooth and cardiac muscle cell-specific transcriptional factor that binds to canonical CArG box DNA sequences. It acts as a cofactor of serum response factor (SRF) to modulate SRF-target genes and plays a crucial role in cardiogenesis and smooth muscle cell differentiation (myogenesis).
