Target Information
The KIF25 gene encodes a member of the kinesin-like protein family, which are microtubule-dependent molecular motors responsible for organelle transport and chromosome movement during cell division. The specific function of KIF25 remains undetermined. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, and additional variants lacking exon 2 and the translation initiation codon have been identified.
