Description

Porous polymers are unique, highly retentive stationary phases with a wide application range, capable of eluting both polar and nonpolar compounds. They are very hydrophobic, so water has no impact on retention times and elutes as a well-defined chromatographic peak.

The Q-BOND is the most nonpolar and widely used porous polymer column; functional groups can be added to increase polarity (e.g., QS-, S-, and U-BOND). The manufacturing process ensures strong adhesion of particles to the tubing walls, minimizing particle generation. This provides reproducible performance from column to column, including consistent selectivity and flow.

Note: Recoiling PLOT columns is not recommended, as it may cause particles to dislodge from the tubing walls.
