TLR은 Drosophila부터 인간까지 고도로 보존되어 있으며, 병원체 관련 분자 패턴(PAMPs)을 인식하여 면역 반응에 필요한 사이토카인 생성을 매개합니다.
TLR1은 TLR2와 상호작용하여 합성된 lipopeptide에 대한 NF-κB 활성화를 강화하며, 다양한 tri-acylated lipopeptides를 인식합니다.
TLR1 유전자는 대체 polyadenylation site 및 스플라이싱에 의해 다양한 길이의 전사체를 생성할 수 있습니다.
