Target Information
Ubiquitin은 세포 내 단백질을 26S 프로테아좀에 의해 분해하도록 표적화하는 데 중요한 역할을 하는 고도로 보존된 단백질입니다. 이 유전자는 N 말단에 유비퀴틴, C 말단에 리보솜 단백질 S27a를 포함하는 융합 단백질을 암호화합니다. 효모에서 발현될 때, 단백질은 번역 후 처리되어 자유 유비퀴틴 단량체와 리보솜 단백질 S27a를 생성합니다. 리보솜 단백질 S27a는 40S 소단위체의 구성 요소로, S27AE 계열에 속하며, C4형 아연 핑거 도메인을 포함하고 세포질에 위치합니다. 이 유전자로부터 유래한 가성유전자가 게놈 내에 존재합니다. 또한, 리보솜 단백질 L40과 S30도 각각 유비퀴틴 또는 유비퀴틴 유사 단백질(fubi)과 융합 형태로 합성됩니다.
