Target Information
The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes encoding secreted signaling proteins involved in oncogenesis and developmental processes such as regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis.
WNT10B may play a role in breast cancer and act as a molecular switch governing adipogenesis.
This protein shares 96% amino acid identity with mouse Wnt10b and is located in the chromosome 12q13 region, clustered with WNT1.
