Target Information
Ribosomes are organelles that catalyze protein synthesis and consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. These subunits are composed of four RNA species and approximately 80 distinct proteins. The DYNC1LI1 gene encodes a ribosomal protein component of the 40S subunit, belonging to the S12E family, and is located in the cytoplasm. Increased expression of this gene has been observed in colorectal cancers compared to normal colonic mucosa. Multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene are dispersed throughout the genome.
