Target Information
The LTBR gene encodes a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor family. It is expressed on most cell types, including epithelial and myeloid cells, but not on T or B lymphocytes. LTBR binds the membrane form of lymphotoxin (a complex of lymphotoxin-alpha and lymphotoxin-beta). The receptor-ligand interaction is important in lymphoid tissue development and organization, and activation can induce apoptosis.
