Product Specific Information
This antibody detects human Matriptase/ST14 Catalytic Domain in direct ELISAs and Western blots.
In direct ELISAs, approximately 60% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Matriptase/Epithin is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
SOX2 is an intronless gene encoding a member of the SRY-related HMG-box (SOX) family of transcription factors involved in embryonic development and cell fate determination.
The SOX2 gene product is required for stem-cell maintenance in the central nervous system and regulates gene expression in the stomach.
It lies within an intron of the SOX2 overlapping transcript (SOX2OT) gene.
SOX2 protein may act as a transcriptional activator after forming complexes with other proteins.
Mutations in SOX2 are associated with bilateral anophthalmia, optic nerve hypoplasia, and syndromic microphthalmia.
