VSTM2B (V-set and transmembrane domain-containing protein 2B)는 막 단백질로, 235개의 아미노산으로 구성된 세포외 도메인을 포함하며 Ig-like V-type 도메인, 21개의 아미노산 길이의 막관통 도메인, 그리고 1개의 세포질 아미노산을 가진다.
이 세포외 도메인은 인간 VSTM2A와 45%의 아미노산 서열 동일성을 공유하며, 인간 VSTM2B의 성숙한 세포외 도메인은 생쥐 및 랫트 상동체와 각각 86% 및 85%의 서열 동일성을 가진다.
이 유전자의 중요한 paralog는 JAM3이다.
