이 세포외 도메인은 인간 VSTM2A와 45%의 아미노산 서열 동일성을 공유하며, 인간 VSTM2B의 성숙한 세포외 도메인은 생쥐 및 랫트 상동체와 각각 86% 및 85%의 서열 동일성을 가진다.
