Invitrogen™ Adiponectin Mouse ProcartaPlex™ Simplex Kit

The Mouse Adiponectin Simplex ProcartaPlex Kit measures adiponectin protein and is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits, allowing you to create a custom multiplex panel utilizing Luminex xMAP technology for protein detection and quantitation.
When combining multiple Simplex kits (i.e., not using a pre-configured Multiplex Panel), only one buffer kit (sold separately) is required per assay plate, regardless of plex size.

About ProcartaPlex Assays for the Luminex Platform

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on a sandwich ELISA principle, using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of one protein to quantitate multiple protein targets simultaneously using a Luminex instrument.
These assays require as little as 25 μL of plasma or serum, or 50 μL of cell culture supernatant, and deliver analyzed results within four hours.

ProcartaPlex assays utilize Luminex xMAP (multianalyte profiling) technology for simultaneous detection and quantitation of up to 80 protein targets in a single small-volume sample.
The Luminex beads are internally dyed with distinct proportions of red and infrared fluorophores, generating unique spectral signatures identifiable by Luminex detection systems (e.g., Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).

Similar to a sandwich ELISA, matched antibody pairs identify the target protein. Each spectrally unique bead is labeled with antibodies specific for one protein, and bound proteins are detected using biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).
Unlike ELISA, the capture antibody is conjugated to a bead rather than adsorbed to a plate, allowing reagents to remain in solution and improving multiplexing efficiency.

For detection, the Luminex 200 instrument uses two lasers: one to distinguish bead signatures and another to measure RPE fluorescence proportional to protein quantity.
ProcartaPlex multiplex assays enable profiling of more protein targets using less sample and time compared to traditional ELISA.

ProcartaPlex multiplex panels are available across six species (human, mouse, rat, nonhuman primate, porcine, and canine).
