Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, an additional desalting step is recommended (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
N-cadherin (CDH2) is a 140 kDa transmembrane protein mediating calcium-dependent intercellular adhesion. It plays a key role in morphogenetic movements during development and regulates cell surface adhesion through homotypic interactions. Its function depends on association with the actin cytoskeleton via interactions with cytoplasmic catenin proteins, regulated by phosphorylation of beta-catenin. N-cadherin contains five extracellular cadherin repeats, a transmembrane domain, and a conserved cytoplasmic tail, essential for cell-cell adhesion and left-right asymmetry during gastrulation.
