Antibody detects endogenous levels of total AKAP1.
Target Information
This gene encodes an enzyme that reversibly catalyzes the phosphorolysis of purine nucleosides. The enzyme is trimeric, containing three identical subunits. Mutations leading to nucleoside phosphorylase deficiency cause defective T-cell immunity and may affect B-cell responses. Neurologic disorders may also occur in patients with immune defects. A known polymorphism at amino acid position 51 does not affect enzyme activity. A pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 2.
