Target Information
Interleukin-31 (IL-31)는 최근 발견된 T-cell cytokine으로 IL-6 계열 cytokine과 밀접하게 관련되어 있으며, 주로 T helper type 2 세포에서 생성됩니다. IL-31은 IL-31 receptor A와 oncostatin M receptor로 구성된 이합체 수용체 복합체의 리간드 유도형 올리고머화를 통해 활성을 나타냅니다. IL-31 결합 시 JAK/STAT 및 AKT 신호 경로가 활성화되며, IL-31 receptor A와 oncostatin M receptor의 RNA 수준은 활성화된 단핵구에서 유도되지만, 상피세포에서는 항상 발현됩니다. IL-31이 과발현된 생쥐는 가려움증, 탈모, 피부병변을 나타내며, 인간에서는 아토피 피부염과 관련이 있어 항가려움증 약물 개발의 새로운 표적이 될 수 있습니다.
