Target Information
Nop56p is a yeast nucleolar protein that forms a complex with Nop58p and fibrillarin. It is required for assembly of the 60S ribosomal subunit and is involved in pre-rRNA processing.
NOL5A, similar in sequence to Nop56p, is also localized in the nucleolus. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified, though not all full-length sequences are determined.
