Target Information
Interleukin 11 (IL-11) is a stromal cell-derived cytokine belonging to a family of pleiotropic cytokines utilizing the gp130 transducing subunit in their high-affinity receptors. The IL-11 receptor (IL11RA) is part of the hematopoietic cytokine receptor family and shares structural similarity with the ciliary neurotrophic factor receptor, both containing extracellular immunoglobulin-like and cytokine receptor-like domains. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants exist for this gene.
