Target Information
TPCN2 (Two-pore channel 2) is a nicotinic acid adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NAADP) receptor that may function as a voltage-gated Ca²⁺ channel across the lysosomal membrane. It is involved in calcium ion release from lysosomal stores and may play a role in smooth muscle contraction. TPCN2 is highly expressed in liver and kidney and has been linked to genetic variations associated with hair pigmentation. Diseases associated with TPCN2 include Autosomal Recessive Deafness 63 and 7.
