GLUT9 (SLC2A9)는 SLC2A facilitative glucose transporter family의 구성원으로, 포도당 항상성 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 이 단백질은 연골 기질 내에서 연골세포의 발달과 생존에 관여할 수 있으며, 두 가지 서로 다른 isoform을 암호화하는 transcript variant가 확인되었습니다.
