Product Specific Information
Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
JUP is a major cytoplasmic protein and the only known constituent common to submembranous plaques of both desmosomes and intermediate junctions.
This protein forms distinct complexes with cadherins and desmosomal cadherins and is a member of the catenin family, characterized by a repeating amino acid motif called the armadillo repeat.
