Target Information
VASH1 is a protein with actin binding and metallocarboxypeptidase activity. It plays roles in:
- Negative regulation of angiogenesis
- Inhibition of endothelial cell migration and proliferation
- Regulation of lymphangiogenesis
It is localized in the apical part of the cell, endoplasmic reticulum, and extracellular space.
VASH1 is implicated in liver cirrhosis and portal hypertension and serves as a biomarker for liver cirrhosis.
Diseases associated with VASH1 include Portal Hypertension and Congenital Myasthenic Syndrome 14.
