Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH)는 TGF-β superfamily에 속하는 단백질로, 140 kDa의 이황화 결합된 전구체 형태로 분비되며, 절단되어 30 kDa의 성숙한 호모다이머를 형성합니다.
AMH는 태아기 고환 호르몬으로서 뮐러관의 발달을 억제하며, 출생 후에는 미성숙 세르톨리 세포 및 일부 난포 과립 세포에서 발현됩니다.
이는 고환 분화 및 난소 여포 성장 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
