Target Information
Heat shock proteins (HSP) are expressed in response to biological stress such as heat. HSP90 is a 90 kDa protein induced under stress conditions and is one of the most abundant cellular proteins even under non-stress conditions. It interacts with various intracellular proteins, including steroid receptors, actin, tubulin, and kinases. HSP90 is essential for maintaining structural integrity of certain steroid receptors to enable ligand binding during activation.
