Target Information
WD40 repeats are common structural modules in eukaryotic proteins. Proteins containing WD40 domains have diverse functions including signal transduction, cell cycle regulation, RNA splicing, and transcription.
WDR92 (also known as monad) contains two WD40 repeats and is widely expressed in human tissues, especially testis. Overexpression of WDR92 or its binding partner RPAP3 potentiates apoptosis and caspase-3 activation induced by TNF-α and cycloheximide, suggesting WDR92 may function as a novel modulator of apoptosis together with RPAP3.
