Target Information

BAF60C is a member of the SWI/SNF protein family, which exhibits helicase and ATPase activities and regulates gene transcription by modifying chromatin structure. The encoded protein is part of the large ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex SNF/SWI and shares sequence similarity with the yeast Swp73 protein. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants exist, though the biological validity of some remains undetermined.
