Target Information

Replication protein A (RPA) is a single-stranded DNA binding protein involved in eukaryotic DNA replication, repair, and recombination.
RPA interacting protein (RPAIN) acts as an adapter for RPA nuclear import, replacing typical importin proteins.
Multiple isoforms exist: the longest isoform localizes to the cytoplasm, while isoform 2 is sumoylated and found in the PML nuclear body, aiding RPA complex localization and function in DNA metabolism.
