Target Information
The COG3 gene encodes a component of the conserved oligomeric Golgi (COG) complex, which consists of eight different subunits. This complex is essential for normal Golgi morphology and localization. Defects in the COG complex cause multiple deficiencies in protein glycosylation. The encoded protein is involved in ER-Golgi transport.
