BCECF는 pH 7을 중심으로 ±1 pH 단위의 변화를 측정하기에 이상적인 듀얼 엑사이트레이션 비율형 pH 인디케이터입니다. pKa는 약 6.98이며, 형광 강도의 비율을 통해 pH를 정량적으로 분석할 수 있습니다.
형광은 535 nm에서 검출되며, 엑사이트레이션 파장은 약 490 nm와 등흡수점(isosbestic point)인 약 440 nm를 사용합니다.
