Target Information
DYKDDDDK tag, also known as FLAG tag, is a short peptide sequence used as a protein tag for purification, detection, and localization.
This tag consists of eight amino acids (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) and can be fused to either the N- or C-terminus of a target protein.
It enables efficient identification and isolation of tagged proteins using anti-FLAG antibodies.
The FLAG tag is more hydrophilic than other epitope tags, minimizing the risk of protein denaturation or inactivation.
Widely used in molecular biology and biochemistry for:
- Protein-protein interaction studies
- Protein expression analysis
- Protein localization studies
