Target Information
Sulfotransferase 효소는 다양한 호르몬, 신경전달물질, 약물 및 외인성 화합물의 황산화 결합을 촉매합니다. 이 효소들은 조직 분포와 기질 특이성이 서로 다르며, 유전자 구조(엑손의 수와 길이)는 가족 내에서 유사합니다.
SULT1C2는 SULT1 하위계열에 속하며, PAPS로부터 페놀계 화합물에 황산기를 전달합니다. 또한 hydroxyarylamine에 특이성을 보이며, p-nitrophenol과 N-hydroxy-2-acetylaminofluorene의 황산화를 촉매하지만 dopamine에는 작용하지 않습니다.
