Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
N-Acylphosphatidylethanolamine (NAPE)-hydrolyzing phospholipase D (NAPE-PLD) is a membrane-bound enzyme that releases the endocannabinoid anandamide and other bioactive N-acylethanolamines from their corresponding NAPEs in animal tissues.
NAPE-PLD is expressed by specific neuronal populations and localized to axonal processes.
NAEs generated by NAPE-PLD may act as anterograde synaptic signaling molecules regulating postsynaptic neuron activity.
Additionally, NAPE-PLD catalyzes NAPE hydrolysis to generate OEA (oleoylethanolamide), a lipid amide that inhibits food intake in rodents.
