Target Information
DTX2 functions as an E3 ubiquitin ligase and acts as a regulator of Notch signaling, a pathway involved in cell-cell communication and cell-fate determination. It may function as both a positive and negative regulator of Notch depending on developmental and cellular context. DTX2 mediates antineural activity of Notch, possibly by inhibiting transcriptional activation mediated by MATCH1. It functions as an ubiquitin ligase protein in vitro, suggesting its role in regulating the Notch pathway through ubiquitin ligase activity.
