Target Information
SLIRP (SRA stem-loop interacting RNA binding protein) is expressed in normal and tumor tissues, predominantly in mitochondria. SLIRP may regulate mitochondrial functions and has the potential to suppress estrogen activity in breast cancer cells and testosterone activity in prostate cancer cells. It has also been shown to downregulate genes involved in energy metabolism.
