Target Information
Phosphoglycerate mutase (PGAM)는 해당과정에서 3-phosphoglycerate (3-PGA)를 2-phosphoglycerate (2-PGA)로 가역적으로 변환시키는 효소입니다. PGAM은 이합체 형태로 존재하며, 근육(MM), 뇌(BB), 혼합형(MB) 이성질체로 구성됩니다.
PGAM2 유전자는 근육 특이적 PGAM 서브유닛을 암호화하며, 이 유전자의 돌연변이는 glycogen storage disease X로 알려진 muscle phosphoglycerate mutase 효소 결핍을 유발할 수 있습니다.
