Early growth response protein 4 (EGR-4), also known as AT133, is a transcriptional regulator encoded by the EGR4 gene in humans.
EGR-4 belongs to the early growth response (EGF) family of zinc finger transcription factors.
It recognizes and binds to the DNA sequence 5'-GCGGGGGCG-3' (GSG), activating transcription of target genes involved in mitogenesis and differentiation.
