Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Cytochrome c oxidase, the terminal enzyme of the mitochondrial respiratory chain, catalyzes electron transfer from reduced cytochrome c to oxygen. It is a heteromeric complex with 3 catalytic subunits encoded by mitochondrial genes and multiple structural subunits encoded by nuclear genes.
The nuclear-encoded subunit VIc (COX6C) shows 77% amino acid sequence identity with the mouse counterpart and is up-regulated in prostate cancer cells. A pseudogene is present on chromosome 16p12.
