MA5-15304 targets ERK2 in indirect ELISA, IF, IHC, and WB applications and shows reactivity with human, mouse, and non-human primate samples.
The immunogen is a purified recombinant fragment of human ERK2 expressed in E. coli.
MA5-15304 detects ERK2, which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 41 kDa.

Target Information

MAPK1 (ERK2) is a serine/threonine kinase acting as an important activator of p90 RSK, MSK, ELK1, and Stat3, and is involved in the MAPK pathway.
MAP kinases, also known as extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERKs), serve as integration points for multiple biochemical signals and are involved in various cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, transcription regulation, and development.
Activation of this kinase requires phosphorylation by upstream kinases. Upon activation, ERK2 translocates to the nucleus of stimulated cells, where it phosphorylates nuclear targets.
