Target Information

Syntrophin is an adapter protein that binds signaling molecules to the dystrophin-associated protein complex, linking the extracellular matrix to the intracellular cytoskeleton for postsynaptic structure maintenance in the neuromuscular junction and CNS.
Microtubule-associated serine/threonine-protein kinase 2 (MAST205) is a testis-specific cytoplasmic protein functioning in spermatid maturation. It links the dystrophin/utrophin network with microtubule filaments via Syntrophin and regulates IL-12 synthesis in macrophages through TRAF6 complex formation, inhibiting TRAF6 NF-kappa-B activation.
Two isoforms exist due to alternative splicing: isoform 1 (full length) and isoform 2 (lacking residues 327–396 and 1091–1113). Phosphorylation at the N-terminus enables ubiquitination and subsequent proteasome-mediated degradation.
