Target Information
Peroxiredoxin (Prx)는 세포 증식, 분화, 세포사멸과 관련된 퍼옥시다아제 계열 단백질군입니다. 약 50여 개의 단백질이 아미노산 서열 상동성에 따라 분류되며, 활성 부위 시스테인 잔기와 티올 특이적 항산화 활성을 가집니다.
포유류 Prx는 6종으로 구성되며, typical 2-Cys, atypical 2-Cys, 1-Cys Prx로 구분됩니다. Prx VI는 1-Cys Prx에 속하며, 나머지 2-Cys Prx들은 thioredoxin, thioredoxin reductase, NADPH를 이용한 환원 시스템을 통해 TPx 활성을 가집니다.
Prx 단백질은 분자량 20–30 kDa이며, Prx I, II, VI는 세포질, Prx III는 미토콘드리아, Prx IV는 ER 및 분비 경로, Prx V는 퍼옥시좀, 미토콘드리아, 세포질 등 다양한 위치에 존재합니다.
