Target Information
STAG2는 cohesin complex의 구성 요소로, DNA 복제 후 자매 염색분체의 결합(cohesion)에 필수적입니다. 이 복합체는 자매 염색분체를 포획할 수 있는 단백질 고리 구조를 형성합니다. 분열기(anaphase) 동안 이 복합체는 절단되어 염색질에서 분리되며, 자매 염색분체의 분리가 이루어집니다. 또한 STAG2는 유사분열 중 방추극(spindle pole) 형성에도 관여할 수 있습니다.
