MA1-10881 detects Glutamate NMDA Receptor NR3A/B subunits from human, mouse, and rat samples.
This antibody does not cross-react with NR1 or NR2A-D subunits.
It has been successfully used in Western blot and immunoprecipitation applications.
Immunogen: Fusion protein of NR3A amino acids 780–914 from the extracellular III–IV loop.

Target Information

Grin3a is an NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartate) receptor subtype of glutamate-gated ion channels characterized by:

  • Reduced single-channel conductance
  • Low calcium permeability
  • Low voltage-dependent sensitivity to magnesium

Grin3a is glycine-mediated and may play a role in dendritic spine development and PPP2CB–NMDAR mediated signaling.
It belongs to the superfamily of glutamate-regulated ion channels, functioning in both physiological and pathological processes in the CNS.
Grin3a shows >90% identity with the corresponding rat subunit.
Knockout mouse studies suggest involvement in synaptic element development via modulation of NMDA receptor activity.
Diseases associated with GRIN3A include Lingual-Facial-Buccal Dyskinesia.
