Target Information
Pre-mRNA splicing enhancer elements are short RNA sequences that activate weak splice sites and ensure accurate splice site recognition and alternative splicing control. These elements bind SR-rich splicing factors such as SC35, 9G8, SRp20, and SF2/ASF.
SR factors contain RNA recognition motifs (RRM) and SR-rich domains, functioning in both constitutive and alternative splicing regulation.
SFRS11 (splicing factor, arginine/serine-rich 11), also known as p54 or NET2, is a 484 amino acid nuclear protein that colocalizes with spliceosome components and belongs to the SR family, functioning in pre-mRNA splicing.
