Target Information
ZNF598 (E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase ZNF598) plays a key role in the ribosome quality control (RQC) pathway, which occurs when a ribosome stalls during translation. It mediates monoubiquitination of ribosomal proteins RPS10/eS10 and RPS3/uS3, preventing synthesis of aberrant polypeptides and triggering degradation through the RQC mechanism.
