Target Information
Cytokeratin 15 is a member of the keratin gene family. Keratins are intermediate filament proteins responsible for maintaining the structural integrity of epithelial cells and are divided into cytokeratins and hair keratins. Most type I cytokeratins are acidic proteins, forming heterotypic pairs and clustered on chromosome 17q21.2.
