Adenosine receptors (A1-R, A2A-R, A2B-R, A3-R) are G protein-coupled membrane proteins.
- A1-R mediates ureagenesis in a partially calcium-dependent manner.
- A2A-R mediates coronary vasodilation.
- A2B-R inhibits collagen and total protein synthesis in certain cells.
- A3-R activation inhibits TNF alpha induction and blocks CD14 receptor signal transduction.
