Target Information
이 유전자는 serine protease inhibitor인 serpin 패밀리에 속하는 단백질을 암호화합니다. 해당 단백질은 fibrin 및 다양한 단백질을 분해하는 plasmin의 주요 억제제 역할을 합니다. 따라서 이 유전자의 정상적인 기능은 혈액 응고 경로 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
이 유전자 변이는 alpha-2-plasmin inhibitor 결핍증을 유발하며, 심각한 출혈성 경향을 나타냅니다. 서로 다른 isoform을 암호화하는 다수의 전사체 변이가 보고되었습니다.
