Background
The ITGB3 protein product is the integrin beta chain β3. Integrins are integral cell-surface proteins composed of an alpha and a beta chain. Each chain can combine with multiple partners to form different integrins. Integrin β3 is found along with the alpha IIb chain in platelets and is involved in cell adhesion and cell-surface mediated signaling.
